Family Photo Album - Opening Ceremonies for Softball


Saturday was Opening Ceremonies for our community softball league that our girls are in.  Here are a few pictures from the day. :)


From left to right:  Emily, Erica and Erin Snow - Addie, Autumn and Sierra Tastet.  The Snow girls are dear friends.  Pastor Snow was the pastor of Liberty Baptist Church here in Reno.  He passed away on Thanksgiving day from cancer.  Please continue to pray for his wife, Tamara and her four children.


Sierra is six.  She plays on t-ball Team Jazz.


Addie is 10 yrs old and plays in the 10U Division of fast pitch softball.  She is on Team Eclipse.


Autumn is 8 yrs old and plays in the 8U Division of fast pitch softball.  She is on Team Blaze.



Autumn was chosen to throw out the opening pitch for the season.  Yay!


She was given the ball to keep.


Every year, the team picks out their socks for the team.  They are quite colorful! :)


Autumn pitched the first game for her team.  Here is a video of that.

You May Abound In Hope

Today I completed a devotional book by Candace Cameron Bure.  100 Days of Joy and Strength.  I was struggling last night.  Darkness seemed to overwhelm me.  The last day of this devotional gave me exactly the encouragement I needed to go another day. Here are the verses she shared from God's Word. "I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope."  Psalm 130:5 "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;"  II Corinthians 4:8-9 "As for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.  Do not gloat over me, my enemy!  Though I have fallen, I will rise.  Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light."  Micah 7:7-8 "I remain confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."...
