Vanilla-Pineapple Chilled Dessert
This is a dessert that I have been making for a long time. It is just a wonderful, light spring dessert! I made this for our Memorial Day church picnic this afternoon.
1 box Jiffy white cake mix
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 1/2 cups milk
1 large package vanilla pudding mix
1-20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained well
1 - 8 oz. Cool Whip
chopped nuts
Prepare cake mix according to directions but bake in 9x13 baking dish. Bake for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees. Combine cream cheese, milk and pudding mix. Beat well. Spread over cooled cake. Spread pineapple over mixture. Spread Cool Whip over all. Sprinkle nuts on top. Chill before serving.
For a variety, you can use lemon pudding mix and coconut on top. But, for those who know me well, know you won't find any coconut on mine. :)
