Spring 2018

Here are some photos from this spring!  Just random!  This is a cute little breakfast bagel place we have in Reno.  It was an old firehouse that they renovated.

Once a month, ladies of our church get together for food and fellowship.  This was one of them and the bagels were so good!  It's called The Daily Bagel - hence the newspaper inserts in the basket.  So cute!

The teen girls doing SVkids on Sunday morning.

Baptismal service.

Playing ball with the girls one evening.

Beautiful skies.

We had a very wet and cold late spring.  Brr!!!  Good for our water supply but not for getting my garden out or sitting at softball games.  LOL!

We pretty much were wrapped up in blankets all softball season!!  My husband would show up to the games with a short sleeved shirt and 30 minutes into it (or less!), he would be using my blanket!

In the spring, Addie played for 14U, Autumn for 12U and Sierra for 10U.  Three divisions, three different teams.  Three sets of practice and game schedules!  It was a CRAZY season for our family!  Every night, we were on the fields - six days/nights a week.  Sometimes, my husband would be a one field and I would be at a different one.  Many nights, one girl played at 6pm - had to be there at 5pm for warm-ups...the next girl would play at 7:45pm (if the game actually started on time!).  We wouldn't get home until 10pm or so every night.  From middle of March to middle June.  But I loved it and wouldn't trade it!!

You loaded up the blankets, winter coats and gear (it may be spring but it drops very quickly once the sun goes down in Nevada!) and camping chairs...and they just stayed in your van the whole season.  You learn to eat dinner at 4pm every night or take it on the run (for working parents).  It is a whole lot of fun!  You spend your nights sitting and cheering as a family...talking and hanging out.

This was a spring wedding we did at the lake.  It was chilly but the venue was pretty!  I loved the fires outside.

Then suddenly it was Memorial Day!  I usually get more pictures but sometimes I'm too busy organizing and managing things so...here are the few I got!  We do a dessert competition and I tried my hand at a carrot cake.  First time!

Usually at our picnics, we do the frisbee game.  Does it have a name?  Probably!

Enjoying some cold popsicles!

So those are some photos from Spring 2018 - mainly softball that was our life!  Ha!!

Happy 45th Birthday, Eric!

Happy birthday to my husband, Eric!   He turns 45 today.  I am surprising him with tickets to a Miami Dolphins game in Miami.  I got him tickets one other time years ago when we lived in Reno.  We drove to Oakland to see the Dolphins play the Raiders.  I think this will be a great memory for him and a home game too! Happy birthday, babe!

Recipe: Chicken Parmesan

Chicken Parmesan This is a delicious recipe from Magnolia Table: Volume 2. 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts  1/4 tsp. kosher salt 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper 2 large eggs 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 sleeve (30-40) buttery crackers, crushed 4 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated (about 1 cup) 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice 1/2 cup mayo 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley (optional) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. (I cut the chicken breasts in half to make thinner.).  Season with salt and pepper. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and garlic salt until combined.  In another bowl, combine the crackers and 1/2 cup of the Parmesan. Dredgs each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then in the cracker mixture, and set the chicken aside on a plate. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of the oil over medium heat.  Add 2 pieces of the chicken and cook until the cracker coating is crispy and golden brown, 3 or 4 minutes on each side.  Remove to a sheet pan or b...
