Weekend Retreats and My Kitties

This is Mama Callie.  I just call her Callie.  She is a feral that was part of a litter that was born a couple years ago.  I believe she already had one litter of her own.  I have an appointment with the Feral Cat Coalition to hopefully trap her and get her spayed.  She has been coming by every day for her meals.  Pray that we can trap successfully!

My silly girl - Fig.  Sometimes she sleeps under my bed.  I guess she thinks she is hidden.  Ha!

Is that big fluffy furball gone?  (Clover)  Ha!

And then there's my big boy, Jack.  Or Jackson as I call him.  Living a new life as a loved pet.

Autumn has this thing where she makes Fig lie with her.  Fig will protest but I think she actually likes it.  She just doesn't want you to know it!  Ha!

Did that crazy furball leave?

Oh, you were trying to make your bed?  Silly hooman.

I love the foggy mornings here in Oregon and I love when the sun shines through the fog.

At least once a day, this big boy jumps on my lap to get lots of pets and kisses from me.

Him and his lovins.  I think it is thanking me for bringing him off the streets.

He fell asleep while grooming himself.  Ha!

Started a new series.

The girls got to go on a weekend retreat that Grace Baptist hosted at Camp Tadmor in Lebanon, OR.  They played lots of crazy games, had lessons together, and had times of quiet time with the Lord.  I'm grateful for those who have a burden to strengthen youth in the Lord.

It was also weird to be empty nesters for a couple nights and days!  We have been alone many times but I don't think we have been alone at home and they were gone.  LOL!

Happy 45th Birthday, Eric!

Happy birthday to my husband, Eric!   He turns 45 today.  I am surprising him with tickets to a Miami Dolphins game in Miami.  I got him tickets one other time years ago when we lived in Reno.  We drove to Oakland to see the Dolphins play the Raiders.  I think this will be a great memory for him and a home game too! Happy birthday, babe!

Recipe: Chicken Parmesan

Chicken Parmesan This is a delicious recipe from Magnolia Table: Volume 2. 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts  1/4 tsp. kosher salt 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper 2 large eggs 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 sleeve (30-40) buttery crackers, crushed 4 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated (about 1 cup) 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice 1/2 cup mayo 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley (optional) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. (I cut the chicken breasts in half to make thinner.).  Season with salt and pepper. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and garlic salt until combined.  In another bowl, combine the crackers and 1/2 cup of the Parmesan. Dredgs each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then in the cracker mixture, and set the chicken aside on a plate. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of the oil over medium heat.  Add 2 pieces of the chicken and cook until the cracker coating is crispy and golden brown, 3 or 4 minutes on each side.  Remove to a sheet pan or b...
