Addie's Capstone Presentation

Monday, November 25 Eric and I left at 7am and headed to Pensacola.  We arrived around 11:15am.  We were able to have lunch with Addie at Varsity.  Autumn was working during this time but was able to take her 30 min. break and eat with us.  After lunch, I went to a class with Addie.  Then Eric went to Addie and Brad's geography class with them while I visited with Autumn on her free hour.  Then Eric and I went to Autumn's math class. Accident right outside our neighborhood as we were leaving for Pensacola. Just a memory of Cappie's first holiday with us.  Isn't he so adorable?  I just love him. Having lunch with our girls. It was a beautiful sunny day! At 5pm, we met at Four Winds and had dinner together.  Addie, Brad, Autumn, and Hannah.  We then went to Addie's capstone presentation.  A capstone project in college is the apogee, or completion marker, of a student's coursework leading to the culmination of their program with...

Holiday Week Has Arrived!

Sunday, November 24 We have begun the official holiday week!  Yikes!  It is going to be a full, busy week. This Sunday, I sang on the Praise Team , so I had to be at the church by 8:10 a.m. for practice and sound check. Connection Groups were at 9:30 a.m. ,  and  church was at 10:45 a.m.  Here  is the link for the service. Again, I enjoyed singing on the Praise Team. It is an opportunity that I never thought I would have again since leaving the church we started in Reno.  God is good. After church, I made corn dogs and ranch pasta salad for lunch.  Something easy and quick.  I finished up my list for grocery shopping and my menu for the week. I cleaned my bathroom.  I used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser sponge made especially for bathrooms.  It worked!  It gets off the grime that you just can't seem to get clean.  I recommend it! I cleaned the girls' bathroom and closed it for service so it would stay clean until they arrived on...

Hello December!

December is here!  Wow!  I feel like I say this every month.  But here it is, the last month of 2024!   This will be a new adventure for our family.  We will be participating in our church's The Living Nativity.  There is a lot involved so it will be a big chunk of December. Autumn will be coming home on December 13 and Addie will be coming home on the 20th.   I have a New Years family getaway to north Georgia as well!  We did this last year and enjoyed it so much - I decided to try to do it every year! I hope your December is filled with all things cozy and memorable!  Grab a glass of eggnog, eat a Christmas cookie and curl up with a blanket for a Christmas movie. :)
