AHG Hungary Food Project

Thursday, April 3 Today was a busy day.  We did school.  I watered the lawn.  Sierra worked from 11-3pm. Summer had a food project for American Heritage Girls that we worked on a good part of the day.  She made a Hungarian bread pudding and fruit soup.  Their group has been earning a world heritage badge and they each chose a country to represent for BBB.  Summer chose Hungary. Then I drove to St. Augustine to drop off Summer at Mario and Kristy's home.  She will be dog sitting while they are gone.  Then it was straight back to pick up Sierra and head to AHG. I purchased these cups so that we could divide it into individual servings. It went well and I was glad!  Since Summer was dog sitting, Sierra managed her project at the meeting. Addie playing on her collegian softball team. I made Cajun shrimp sheet pan dinner for our dinner. The beautiful summer sunsets are coming back. Friday, April 4 Kitties enjoying the morning. Cooking Labs and School

Monday, March 31 And...here we go for a busy week!  Eric had his dentist appointment at 8am. Then went off to work. The Jeep was in the repair shop. This boy missed me while I was gone! Last day of March!  Time to change over the calendar. The girls did school and Sierra worked from 11-3pm.  Sierra made it on her CFA socials page! I did lots of house work and made cheeseburger soup for dinner. Tuesday, April 1 Wow, April is here!  The girls did school and Sierra again worked 11-3pm.   Summer had her riding lesson at 5:30pm.  I made reubens and Sierra made two cooking labs as well - roasted brussel sprouts and macaroni and cheese. I finished this little spot in my home. Another small home project completed from my list. I added a new lamp and then the family sign and family photos from Disney last year.  Every time a code came up for a free photo, I claimed it and all these photos were free.  Cheap frames from Wal-Mart and it was done....

Trip to Pensacola for Freiheit!

Saturday, March 29 In the morning, we left early to drive to Pensacola.  When we arrived, we took the kids to lunch at the campus restaurants.  We spent time just eating and talking together. In the evening, we all went to Autumn's play - Freiheit!   It is based on the true story of Hans and Sophie Scholl during WWII.  I recommend the book The White Rose Resists: A Novel of the German Students Who Defied Hitler by Amanda Barratt.  It is an amazing story from the Holocaust era of time.  Autumn was in this play and I am so grateful we were able to go see her perform.  What a fun experience! Here are some photos from the day: Sunday, March 30 In the morning, we went to the girls' Connection Groups.  Eric, Sierra and Summer went to Autumn's class.  I went with Addie to her senior girls' class. After that, we went to Campus Church with the girls and their friends. After church, we took Addie, Autumn and Kylee to lunch at Sushi Masa for all you ca...
