Goodbye May!  What a month you were! Yesterday was our two year mark for being Florida residents!  Wow.  Those two years went slowly at first but then sped up once we began attending Westside Baptist Church and became involved.  It has been a wonderful two years here in this state.  I have loved many, many things. Our church here - Westside Baptist! Singing in the choir and on the praise team. Living five hours from Pensacola and my college girls. The sunshine and warmth! Living in the southern culture of the USA. Our home that we own here. My two kitties - one that we rescued here in Florida. Exploring a new area of the USA - various places around the south, east and midwest areas. Two years and I truly hope it is many more. :)

Here are some photos from our visit to Fort Pickens .  Fort Pickens is in the Gulf Shores National Seashore .  I was happy to finally get to this national site and mark it off my national park sites for Florida!  It was a beautiful place and I love this history of old forts. Don't you love sunshine streaming in the windows?  Even in a historic fort. The colors of this scene - so pretty! Such a pretty scene too.  What a gorgeous view! Getting their Junior Ranger badges.
