Is Your Life Battery Dead?

This morning, the temperature dropped to freezing outside - 28 degrees actually.  I went to turn on the furnace to take the chill off the house and there was no power to my thermostat.  Not having used my furnace since last spring/winter, I hadn't noticed that it needed a new battery.

Did you know that you can't get a fire in your furnace without that little thing called the thermostat?  You have to add power to the thermostat to get the fire to heat your entire house.

So is the same for your life.  You need to add power to your soul before you will be able to live victoriously!

Stay consistent in your Bible reading.  Don't skip out on that church service.  Stay faithful to your Sunday School and Connection Class.

Each time you miss a time to "power up", the weaker your spiritual battery becomes.
Eventually, you will be "dead".

"And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Wherein time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desire of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as other.

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus."
Ephesians 2

Quicken is to make alive.  In order to make something come alive, it needs a source of power.

Don't leave behind your source of power today!  Decide to be faithful to your Bible time...don't miss your church services.  You will only have the power on your life when you are charged by the right power source - Jesus Christ!!

Happy 45th Birthday, Eric!

  Happy birthday to my husband, Eric!   He turns 45 today.  I am surprising him with tickets to a Miami Dolphins game in Miami.  I got him tickets one other time years ago when we lived in Reno.  We drove to Oakland to see the Dolphins play the Raiders.  I think this will be a great memory for him and a home game too! Happy birthday, babe!

Recipe: Chicken Parmesan

  Chicken Parmesan This is a delicious recipe from Magnolia Table: Volume 2. 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts  1/4 tsp. kosher salt 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper 2 large eggs 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 sleeve (30-40) buttery crackers, crushed 4 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated (about 1 cup) 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice 1/2 cup mayo 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley (optional) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. (I cut the chicken breasts in half to make thinner.).  Season with salt and pepper. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and garlic salt until combined.  In another bowl, combine the crackers and 1/2 cup of the Parmesan. Dredgs each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then in the cracker mixture, and set the chicken aside on a plate. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of the oil over medium heat.  Add 2 pieces of the chicken and cook until the cracker coating is crispy and golden brown, 3 or 4 minutes on each side.  Remove to a sheet pan or b...
