Our Rental Home in Ohio

In the upcoming days, I'm going to share some photos and memories from Ohio.  I will probably start at the time of our leaving and go backwards through my pictures so don't be too confused.  LOL!  I wanted to put them in some blog posts for our memories.  I hope you enjoy them.

The following is photos of our rental home in Ohio.  They were taken in the last days there.  It was a beautiful place and we enjoyed it very much.

This was Autumn's bedroom.  She got to enjoy a lot of beautiful sunshine and it was a nice, bright room.  Light blue walls and white ceilings with wood trim.  And a spacious walk-in closet.  It was my favorite bedroom overall!

This was Addie's bedroom.  She had the smallest of the bedrooms of the four bedroom home.  It had a tannish color wall color with white ceilings and wood trim and also a walk-in closet.

This was the upstairs full bathroom that the girls shared.

A couple pictures of the upstairs hallway.

I know I have another picture of Sierra and Summer's bedroom.  For now, this is all I can find.  Their room was turquoise and white with wood trim.  I'll try to find it and add it here.

This was the living room - maybe some would call it the family room.

This was the half bath - powder room - on the first floor off of the living areas.

This was the master bedroom on the main floor.  In the last days before we moved, we made this the room we lived in so that we could clean the upper level and close it off.

This was the dining room.  This is where I spent most of my time doing school with the girls.  We also hosted many dinners in this room.

This was the front room.  I guess you would formally call it a sitting room?  Anyways, we used it as a school room.

The front room had a nice view of the neighborhood.  The beautiful trees and the snow and rain.

The master bedroom after we packed the car the morning we left.  It was very spacious and had wonderful closet space.  It was a light gray with white and wood trim.

The master bathroom.

I guess I didn't get a photo of the shower.  I loved that shower!  Ha!

You May Abound In Hope

Today I completed a devotional book by Candace Cameron Bure.  100 Days of Joy and Strength.  I was struggling last night.  Darkness seemed to overwhelm me.  The last day of this devotional gave me exactly the encouragement I needed to go another day. Here are the verses she shared from God's Word. "I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope."  Psalm 130:5 "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;"  II Corinthians 4:8-9 "As for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.  Do not gloat over me, my enemy!  Though I have fallen, I will rise.  Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light."  Micah 7:7-8 "I remain confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."  Psalm 27

Ten Tips for Sunday School Teachers

Ideas for Sunday School Teachers: 1.  Write a note to each student and mail it to their home. 2.  Visit the child in his home and bring a small treat. 3.  Make a special treat once a month for your students on Sunday. 4.  Have a Sunday School class activity on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. 5.  Pray for your students. 6.  Have a monthly or quarterly contest for your students.  Include bringing their Bible, saying memory verses, attendance, etc.  Award small prizes. 7.  Have a special craft once a month. 8.  Rev up your teaching time!  Use props such as costumes, pictures, videos.  Make your lesson time come alive.  Teach your lesson 2-3 times during the week out loud – you will be amazed at how you will be able to teach it to your students – not just following the words in the book. 9.  After the lesson, be creative!  Students should not just be sitting and waiting for Sunday School hour to end.  You have 45 minutes each week to impact that little life.  Make e
