 Today is the first day of our 2024-25 school year!   Yes, it is early but we have specific reasons for that.  We will be on a trip to Ohio Thursday- Monday to visit my parents.  August 14 - 20th, we will be on our family vacation to Disney World.  We want to stay caught up in our school schedule because this is Sierra's senior year of high school.  We want to finish her year on time by her graduation at Abeka Academy. So, that means today is our first day!   This will be our 17th year of homeschooling .   Sierra is 16 years old and a senior.   Summer is 13 years old and a freshman.  My last year with two girls homeschooling. :( I know it is going to go so very fast. We love homeschooling and Abeka and look forward to an awesome year!

  Wow.  Goodbye July!  July flew by. Dog-sitting and July 4th at home for the first week. I went with Eric to Akron, OH for a client appreciation event by Equity Trust. I went to NYC and New York State for the first time. Sierra and Summer went to church camp in Florida. Addie came back from Pensacola and her camp counseling job. Here's to some great things coming in August!

Friday, July 5 I love to start my mornings out on my patio.  Especially after a busy day. The rain and cloudy skies had cleared from July 4th! I took Cappie in for his recheck appointment at 10:30am.  Hilarious, see him sitting on his treats? :)  He is doing well! Eric and I went to the chiropractor. Saturday, July 6 In the morning, Eric put down fertilizer on the lawn.  It is looking really good this summer. After that, he joined me down at the pool.  We went from 10am-12pm and even though it was a Saturday, if you go early, you can still enjoy the pool and miss the crowds! Happy 4th of July 2024! Since the girls were committed to dog-sitting/house-sitting, we weren't able to go far or out of town.  The girls did get to come home around 11am for the rest of the day which I was glad. I spent the morning cleaning and making food for our meal. I just love my new patio set! Eric finished a couple honey-do's for me that morning. He installed our new flag pole on the front of our house. Here is my completed project for this part of the pantry.  I got these baskets at Dollar Tree.  Labeled them with my label maker. Keeps everything neat and together.  Easy to pull out and find one item.  And keeps the look more together.
