July Begins

Monday, July 1

More and more my kitties follow me around the house.  I often look up and find one of them there looking at me.  LOL!

So glad that my buddy is better!  I am so glad I took him to the vet and got him antibiotics.  He is better and peeing and pooping.

Here's my turkey fam that comes by to visit every once in awhile. :)

Nugget was watching them from inside.

Eric drove home from a work event in Orlando today.
Autumn and Summer will be dog-sitting all week at our friends' home for five dogs.
I did some errands - dropped off books at the library, grocery shopping at Wal-Mart, and mailed the IOWA tests and materials back.  I need to submit those test scores by the end of July for our school scholarship so I needed to get them back ASAP.

Tuesday, July 2

Today was a chill day.
I cleaned the house and did laundry.
The girls are dog-sitting.  I had to go to St. Augustine to pick up Summer for her horse riding lesson that evening with Sierra.

My favorite part of the day - sitting on the patio in the evening.

Wednesday, July 3

The girls are still gone dog-sitting. :(

Today was lawn mowing and trimming day.  Wanted to make the lawn look nice for the holiday.

Here are a few photos from the Christian church camp where Addie is working.  One of her responsibilities is running the gun range.  Here are a few photos of her in action. :)

I was so glad to get to "see" her in action while she was gone these six weeks.

This is a before photo of my pantry.  I have been slowly making improvements to keep it more organized.

Just a throwback of me and my old man, Max.  I miss you, buddy.

You May Abound In Hope

Today I completed a devotional book by Candace Cameron Bure.  100 Days of Joy and Strength.  I was struggling last night.  Darkness seemed to overwhelm me.  The last day of this devotional gave me exactly the encouragement I needed to go another day. Here are the verses she shared from God's Word. "I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope."  Psalm 130:5 "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;"  II Corinthians 4:8-9 "As for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.  Do not gloat over me, my enemy!  Though I have fallen, I will rise.  Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light."  Micah 7:7-8 "I remain confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."  Psalm 27

Ten Tips for Sunday School Teachers

Ideas for Sunday School Teachers: 1.  Write a note to each student and mail it to their home. 2.  Visit the child in his home and bring a small treat. 3.  Make a special treat once a month for your students on Sunday. 4.  Have a Sunday School class activity on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. 5.  Pray for your students. 6.  Have a monthly or quarterly contest for your students.  Include bringing their Bible, saying memory verses, attendance, etc.  Award small prizes. 7.  Have a special craft once a month. 8.  Rev up your teaching time!  Use props such as costumes, pictures, videos.  Make your lesson time come alive.  Teach your lesson 2-3 times during the week out loud – you will be amazed at how you will be able to teach it to your students – not just following the words in the book. 9.  After the lesson, be creative!  Students should not just be sitting and waiting for Sunday School hour to end.  You have 45 minutes each week to impact that little life.  Make e
