Girls Attend REVERB 2024

Friday, November 15 Halfway through the month!  And we made it through the week. :). It was a busy week being gone to the church to work.  I also had a migraine almost every day this week.  So I am very grateful for Friday to be here. Sierra and Summer went to a youth event called Reverb tonight.  It is an all-night event hosted by Word of Life to bring in teenagers and share the gospel.  I dropped them off at the church at 4:30pm.  The buses will leave at 5pm.  They will first go to a hockey game to watch the Jacksonville Icemen play at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.  They are our professional minor league ice hockey team in the East Coast Hockey League.  After the game, they will preach and give the gospel to all the teens who attend.  It is a huge outreach event by Word of Life Ministries. I am praying that souls will be saved tonight! They will then feed them pizza.  After this, they will go to Flight Adventure Park which is an indoor trampoline jump park.. Then to Igloo Ice

The Living Nativity - Construction Day 4

Thursday, November 14 Day 4 of construction for The Living Nativity. More painting that I did on day 4. Up on the lift to paint.  I even "drove" it. Sierra worked from 8-3pm at CFA. We went to American Heritage Girls from 4:30-6pm.   I made cheeseburgers and coleslaw for dinner. It's almost Friday!

The Living Nativity - Construction Day 3

Wednesday, November 13 Day three of construction of The Living Nativity.   The synagogue. What did I do?  Paint a fresh coat of paint on windows and door frames.  Fake windows.  LOL Summer working on the towers. Sierra working on the windows. Summer working. Checking on my tomato plants.  Pruning a bit and giving Miracle Grow.  I have a few of the larger tomatoes coming on now! I don't know how they will continue to do but we will just have to wait and see. I made taco pasta salad for dinner.  Then the girls and I left for choir practice at 6pm.

The Living Nativity - Construction Day 2

Tuesday, November 12 Today was Day 2 of the construction of The Living Nativity. This day was more sunny than the first day so we were baking out in that sun. :) We helped to hang all the panels for the town of Bethlehem.  This is quite the job! We changed Summer's horse riding lesson to Tuesday so we went there at 5:30pm and then back home to get school done and some housework then off to bed. I made crab melts and clam chowder for dinner.

The Living Nativity - Construction Day 1

Monday, November 11 Today was our first day of construction of The Living Nativity which our church will be doing in December.  We wanted to be a part of helping as much as we could.  Sierra and Eric had to work but Summer and I went and volunteered for the day.  Here are a few photos from that day.  It was a lot of carrying and unloading and setting up frames. It was Veteran's Day and my dad texted us a photo of my Grandpa Holt from their local paper.  Very special! In our short time there in Ohio, this photo came up as a memory from this date back in 2019.  Sure different view from our life in Florida in 2024.  This was a cozy scene though. Ha!  Nuggie taking a nap. Sierra worked 3-9pm. I made spicy chicken sandwiches for dinner.
