I completed The Bible Recap Plan for the year. This is a Bible reading plan to read through the whole Bible. It also includes a recap each day of the day's reading to listen to.
I was able to salvage a little of my tomato plants.
Addie was driving home for her winter break on Saturday. Eric hooked up Apple TV settings on our TV and called us all to try it all. He was so excited. LOL!
Addie arrived home! So nice to have all my girls under one roof again. Love seeing them together.
They are always looking for ways to help. They tackled the pantry and organized it and refreshed it. :)
Abeka Homeschool does a 12 days of Christmas giveaway every year. I enter the giveaway every day and I actually won something. A water bottle! Which i was going to order on that is similar to this for traveling so it was a good gift to win!
My pantry.

Been chilly nights here in FL.
Love the Christmas cozy scene. :)
Nuggie finally figured out the Litter Robot. :)
While on her break, Addie paid her last school bill payment! This payment was for her spring semester for her senior year.
When your kids reach college age, you gain new things to worry about. :). One of mine was worrying about getting them through college and having enough money for college costs for four years. Since Addie was our first, it was a new venture for us as parents. We made some adjustments than when she first started out but praise the Lord, she made it through debt free!
I want to thank the Lord for leading us to Dave Ramsey and his teaching. These are his baby steps:
- Save $1,000 for Your Starter Emergency Fund.
- Pay Off All Debt (Except the House) Using the Debt Snowball.
- Save 3–6 Months of Expenses in a Fully Funded Emergency Fund.
- Invest 15% of Your Household Income in Retirement.
- Save for Your Children's College Fund.
- Pay Off Your Home Early.
- Build Wealth and Give.
- We discussed what we wanted to do for our kids' college fund. We wanted to support them but also have them do their part. We decided back when Addie was 12 and our other kids much younger, that we would give them each $10,000 for their college fund. I never thought we would reach the goal of even the first one. I broke down what we would need to pay weekly in order to finish hers by the time she started college. I think it was $84 every two weeks. Which didn't add up very fast - years of paying into it. But it was doing something. Big goals are met with small steps.
- We did finish her fund as well as Autumn and Sierra's too. I hope to finish Summer's fund this year. :) So can I encourage you? Big goals need a plan. And then it is just plodding along until you complete that goal. It doesn't happen overnight but boy does it feel good to reach it!
- Oh yeah, the second part of their college savings plan was they had to put 70% of their paychecks after tithe into their college savings. From the age of 14 when they first got a job. Don't just make a plan for you. Make a plan for them and then follow through with it with them!
This was big for her but I feel it is big for us too. Parents definitely guide this time of life and success is part their responsibility. Both we and Addie have grown in so many ways in these past four years. And paying for your college education is invaluable. Graduating debt free is also invaluable!
Oh by the way, we are on step 7! God is so good!
Spending a cozy evening on my bed with my big blanket, my planner and my kitty.
I LOVE this. Seeing my girls together, having fun. Sisters are the best.
What a good Sunday!
