Goodbye January!

Well, January has flown the coop as they say!  Doesn't January always seem SO long?  I think it does.  Living in Florida now - it isn't as depressing and sad so I am grateful for that.  But it still seems long!

Today is the last day of January here in Jacksonville, FL and it is going to be sunny and 81 degrees!  I will definitely take it.  Don't be fooled - this January, we had some VERY cold weather.  It killed off my plants and we sure used the fireplace a lot!  But I think we have turned a corner into more pleasant weather and I am not complaining.  Even though the cool weather can be enjoyable. :)

I can't wait to get into my garden beds again!  I know, it seems early but not here in Florida.  Ready to plant some flowers as well.

I think my biggest memories from January will be our New Years family trip to Georgia, the inauguration of President Trump and the epic snowfall in Pensacola, FL!

How was your January?  Did you reach any goals?
I did a no soda goal for 30 days and accomplished that!
I took my vitamins 25 days of this month and that is good for me.
I hit my step goal on 14 days.  Definitely need to improve that in February.
I read my Bible plan every day.
I wrote one blog post every day for the month.
We tried nine new recipes.
And I completed two books from my reading list:  The Little Liar and The Teacher of Warsaw.

February is a short month and I definitely want to improve and hit my goals.
Take my vitamins EVERY day.
Hit my step goal EVERY day.
Read my Bible plan EVERY day.
Write one blog post EVERY day.
Complete TWO books from my reading list.
EVERY Friday, do my budget, bills and school scholarship paperwork.

Also making some home goals for cleaning and improvements.
I will be traveling to Charlotte, NC for our February Aspire.
I have a virtual doctor visit schedule in February.  First checkup in many years and want to take care of my health.
Sierra has her CLT exam scheduled in February.
And I may have an overnight trip planned at the end of the month. :)

Bye January 2025!

You May Abound In Hope

Today I completed a devotional book by Candace Cameron Bure.  100 Days of Joy and Strength.  I was struggling last night.  Darkness seemed to overwhelm me.  The last day of this devotional gave me exactly the encouragement I needed to go another day. Here are the verses she shared from God's Word. "I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope."  Psalm 130:5 "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;"  II Corinthians 4:8-9 "As for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.  Do not gloat over me, my enemy!  Though I have fallen, I will rise.  Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light."  Micah 7:7-8 "I remain confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."...
