If you need a quick meal for a winter night dinner, this is a good meal that you can customize for your tastes.
Pizza Pasta Casserole
12 oz. pasta (Use up what you have in your pantry! Elbow, bowtie, rotini, penne etc.)
24 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
Seasonings: salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, oregano
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
Mix ins:
1 lb. ground sausage
1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
sliced black olives
mushrooms
onions
green peppers
Basically, anything you like for pizza toppings, throw it in!
Boil the pasta. Drain.
Fry the sausage. Add onion to the sausage. Drain grease. Return to skillet and add the sauce, seasonings and all the other toppings. Heat through. Add in the pasta. Transfer to a baking dish. Top with cheese and place in oven until the cheese is melted.
