New Planner Arrived!

 Saturday, September 13

A beautiful start to the day!
Eric was out of town.
Sierra worked 9-4pm.
Summer left at noon to a friend's house.  They were getting ready to go to her friend's homecoming at her high school and then she would spend the night there.

It was a quiet day for me.  I baked some bread and did some things around the house.

My flowers at the end of the summer season.

Sunday, September 14

Cooling down here a little in Florida.
We had church in the morning - I worked in the preschool.
I made fettuccine alfredo, breadsticks and Caesar salad for dinner.
The choir sang a powerful song Come, Jesus, Come.  One of the ladies who is going through cancer for the second time sang the solo.  I guarantee it will bless your heart.  You can watch it here.

The kittens had their checkup at the Humane Society.  They are getting so big!  I just adore kitten snuggles with them!!  Sotano and Puerta are big enough for surgery but Bano is not so they sent them all back with me to keep them together.
You can see my separate posts under Foster Kittens 2025 for all their photos and videos. :)

Monday, September 15

Today was a busy day.
School - Day 25.
I went grocery shopping and to the post office for Eric.
Sierra worked 11-3pm.  I scheduled an Urgent Care visit at 11am for a skin issue I had been having on my face.

In between all the errands, I enjoyed another Mediterranean chickpea bowl. :)

Tuesday, September 16 - See post for Summer's 15th birthday.

Wednesday, September 17

Wednesdays, I spend all day preparing for my class in the evening.
Sierra worked 9-3pm and Summer did school.

For a treat after my class, I opened my package - my new planner for 2026!  Yes, I already got it when it was released and the lowest price.  I also got two sticker books that coincide with the planner.  And some new Mr. Pen pretty pens!

One of the set of stickers - I don't know why but this makes me so happy!  I guess it shows how old I am getting.  LOL!  Put things in your life that bring you joy!

Happy 45th Birthday, Eric!

Happy birthday to my husband, Eric!   He turns 45 today.  I am surprising him with tickets to a Miami Dolphins game in Miami.  I got him tickets one other time years ago when we lived in Reno.  We drove to Oakland to see the Dolphins play the Raiders.  I think this will be a great memory for him and a home game too! Happy birthday, babe!

Recipe: Chicken Parmesan

Chicken Parmesan This is a delicious recipe from Magnolia Table: Volume 2. 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts  1/4 tsp. kosher salt 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper 2 large eggs 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 sleeve (30-40) buttery crackers, crushed 4 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated (about 1 cup) 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice 1/2 cup mayo 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley (optional) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. (I cut the chicken breasts in half to make thinner.).  Season with salt and pepper. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and garlic salt until combined.  In another bowl, combine the crackers and 1/2 cup of the Parmesan. Dredgs each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then in the cracker mixture, and set the chicken aside on a plate. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of the oil over medium heat.  Add 2 pieces of the chicken and cook until the cracker coating is crispy and golden brown, 3 or 4 minutes on each side.  Remove to a sheet pan or b...
