Crock Pot Beef and Noodles


I was born and raised a Buckeye in the heart of the Midwest.  As a Baptist PK, we had numerous potlucks over my childhood. ;)  Someone always made this dish and it was one of my favorites.  I recently found this recipe online and it has become one of my most favorite recipes! 
For a true Midwest style meal, serve this over a bed of mashed potatoes and a salad on the side.  Enjoy!

2 lbs. stew meat, cubed
29 oz. beef broth, canned
2 cups water
1 tbsp. minced garlic
½ tsp. onion powder
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
16 oz. egg noodles

Directions:

Place stew meat in crock pot and pour beef broth and water over the meat.  Add in garlic, onion powder, salt and pepper.  Cover.  Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.  Add in egg noodles during the last 30 minutes of cooking.

You May Abound In Hope

Today I completed a devotional book by Candace Cameron Bure.  100 Days of Joy and Strength.  I was struggling last night.  Darkness seemed to overwhelm me.  The last day of this devotional gave me exactly the encouragement I needed to go another day. Here are the verses she shared from God's Word. "I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope."  Psalm 130:5 "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;"  II Corinthians 4:8-9 "As for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.  Do not gloat over me, my enemy!  Though I have fallen, I will rise.  Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light."  Micah 7:7-8 "I remain confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."...
