Recipe: Crock Pot Smoked Sausage, Green Beans and Potatoes

Crock Pot Smoked Sausage, Green Beans and Potatoes

For busy working moms and wives, crock pot meals are a life saver!  This is a savory meal all in one that is A-1 comfort food.

1 lb. kielbasa or smoked sausage-sliced
4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
½ medium onion, sliced
1 bag of frozen green beans
½ tsp. black pepper
Salt to taste

Directions:
Combine all ingredients except the smoked sausage and place in crockpot.  Add water to cover ingredients.  (Chicken broth can be added for more flavor in place of the water.)  Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until potatoes are done.

One hour before you are ready to serve, add smoked sausage to the top.  Do not stir.  Mix before serving.

  1. This is one of my family's favorite meals. It will be nice to be able to make in the Crockpot, do my errand, and come home to this yummy aroma filling the house! I'm looking forward to spending time on your blog. You have a lovely family, and it's always a blessing to "meet" new brothers and sisters in Christ who love Him, and are trying to live their lives for God! God bless you and your family on your journey!

You May Abound In Hope

Today I completed a devotional book by Candace Cameron Bure.  100 Days of Joy and Strength.  I was struggling last night.  Darkness seemed to overwhelm me.  The last day of this devotional gave me exactly the encouragement I needed to go another day. Here are the verses she shared from God's Word. "I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope."  Psalm 130:5 "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;"  II Corinthians 4:8-9 "As for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.  Do not gloat over me, my enemy!  Though I have fallen, I will rise.  Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light."  Micah 7:7-8 "I remain confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."...
