Our Christmas Eve 2023

Our weather for Christmas Eve! My memory is horrible! I do love the ambiance of the season! Beautiful sunrise! One of my new favorite ornaments!  The Long Winter is my favorite book in the Little House series.  I got this ornament when we visited Laura's houses this summer.  I hope to collect all the series! Church in the morning.  No classes.  After church, the girls helped me make a breakfast casserole for Christmas morning, make chicken broccoli fettuccine alfredo for lunch, make twice-baked potato casserole for dinner, mix up dough for sourdough bread and dinner rolls. We then went to the candlelight and carols Christmas Eve service.  Ava and her cousin, Charlotte, wanted a photo with us. Christmas Eve 2023.   Addie-20, Autumn-18, Sierra-16 and Summer-13.   Saturday, December 23, 2023 Just two days until Christmas!  The twelve days of Christmas are wrapping up for the Abeka giveaway. I finished wrapping all my gifts.  Check. Jackson literally stayed upstairs on Summer's bed all day long. He knows it is Christmas vacation! I made Shepherd's Pie for an early dinner at 4pm.  Then we left to go to Nights of Lights in St. Augustine. The history of St. Augustine is amazing!  The oldest city in America - it is rich in history.  It was too crowded to really enjoy that aspect of it.  But something like this - an old cathedral - so beautiful! The oldest Catholic parish in present-day United States. The fort at night. They have Christmas boat parades during the Christmas season. Autumn and I have been trying to get a photo of our matching Christmas Snoopy sweaters she bought us all season.  We just can't get a good one! My heart. My girlies.
