Autumn Goes Back to College

Saturday, August 16

Time to get my sourdough starter fed.  I loved these pastel lids I got.

Autumn wanted to mow the lawn.  She NEVER like yard work her whole life and here she wants to mow and loved it.

Of course, I had to document it.
Then I took Autumn to Texas Roadhouse for lunch before she went back to college.

Another girl leaving.  Back for her sophomore year.

Good thing we got the mowing and trimming done in the morning!  We got an afternoon thunderstorm.  Looks so nice when it is done!

She's always finishing up projects.

Happy to see my little Jan using the litter box!

All loaded up.  We decided to let the girls use the Volvo this year.  I hope that is a good decision. :)

Autumn left Sunday morning to get back to college. :(
We had Connection Groups and church.

Now an empty room again. :(

I took Jan and Danny, my foster kittens, in for their checkup.
Then I picked up Eric from the airport at 5:30pm.
At least I have a beautiful ending to my Sunday.

Monday, August 18
Autumn began her new job for this school year today.  She is working as admin in the dining room - Four Winds.
Today was Day 6 for school.
I had a horrible migraine that I could just not get any relief.
I made beef stroganoff and green beans - barely.

Tuesday, August 19
Second day of a migraine.  Horrible.
I did make it to the chiropractor but it rarely goes away same day.
School - Day 7.

I wish I could enjoy the rain.
I took Summer to her riding lesson at 5:30pm.
I made fish filets, red potatoes and brussel sprouts for dinner.

Wednesday, August 19
Sierra finally got her trainer position at Chick-Fil-A.  I am proud of her!

School - Day 8.
I made pizza sliders and mac and cheese for dinner.

I spent the day preparing for my Everyday Theology class that evening.

Thursday, August 21
I spent from 9-11am at the pool working on my class work for Wednesdays.
School - Day 9.

The other students at PCC checked in today.  Autumn posted a photo of her new desk/office. :)

Adam and Rachel brought Kylee for her sophomore year.  This is them with my two at Steak and Shake.

I made Shepherd's Pie for dinner.
I took Summer to AHG at 4:30pm.
We stopped at Wal-Mart for a couple things and then off to home.

Friday, August 22
Another rainy day.  Love to have my candles burning on these days. :)

Don't you love this candle?  Cozy comfort. :)

Sometimes this old man worries me.  He was hiding away in my closet ALL day.
School - Day 10
Eric had a doctor appt. at 3:30pm at St. Vincent's.
I made chicken and dumplings for dinner.

While I am burning candles and making comfort food - it is very warm and muggy outside.  LOL!  Good ol' Florida.

Addie's college diploma arrived. :)

Saturday, August 23
Got Jackson to come downstairs.

A $3 Starbucks treat. :)

Look at those clouds!!

Made some sourdough dinner rolls. :). Yum!

Love these girls!

Sunday, August 24
A foggy Sunday morning!

I sang on the Praise Team Sunday so I had to be at church at 8:10am.
Connection Group.
Church.
If you would like to see our service, here is this Sunday's service. :)

Finally got my flag up. :)

Finding Cappie in the most unusual places.

Today was when I dropped off Jan and Danny at the Humane Society for their Spay and Neuter surgeries.  We will miss these foster babies.  They went through a lot of challenges!  I love you, Jan and Danny!

Happy 45th Birthday, Eric!

Happy birthday to my husband, Eric!   He turns 45 today.  I am surprising him with tickets to a Miami Dolphins game in Miami.  I got him tickets one other time years ago when we lived in Reno.  We drove to Oakland to see the Dolphins play the Raiders.  I think this will be a great memory for him and a home game too! Happy birthday, babe!

Recipe: Chicken Parmesan

Chicken Parmesan This is a delicious recipe from Magnolia Table: Volume 2. 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts  1/4 tsp. kosher salt 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper 2 large eggs 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 sleeve (30-40) buttery crackers, crushed 4 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated (about 1 cup) 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice 1/2 cup mayo 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley (optional) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. (I cut the chicken breasts in half to make thinner.).  Season with salt and pepper. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and garlic salt until combined.  In another bowl, combine the crackers and 1/2 cup of the Parmesan. Dredgs each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then in the cracker mixture, and set the chicken aside on a plate. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of the oil over medium heat.  Add 2 pieces of the chicken and cook until the cracker coating is crispy and golden brown, 3 or 4 minutes on each side.  Remove to a sheet pan or b...
