Ending of Spring Break 2025

Friday, March 21

I had a dentist appointment in the morning at 10:30am.  Then I went to the chiropractor.

This was the last day of the Youth Choir Tour.  They drove home to Florida from Virginia.  I picked them up in the evening.

My college kids had a very fun week - Greek week - at Pensacola Christian College!  On Friday, they had a picnic, outdoor movie night, and the night ended in fireworks!  Papa Shoe, the college president, does so many neat things for the students!

I love these two!

Saturday, March 22

Today is my nephew's 17th birthday - happy birthday, Evan!
Eric flew in at midnight.

Sunday, March 23
Eric was asked to preach at a local church - Haven Heart - here in Jacksonville.  They are without a pastor so he filled in to give the sermon for Sunday morning.  The girls went to our church and I went with Eric.

After church, we had fettuccine alfredo with garlic knots.  Then I picked up my grocery order from Wal-Mart for the week.

The girls went to Youth Group at 6pm.

My birthday gift from my sister, Rachel!  I love it!!  Yellow is my favorite.

Spring break and youth choir tour is over.  Back to normal!  What is your go to to do Sunday to prepare for a new week?

I love doing these things to give me a great start to a new week!

You May Abound In Hope

Today I completed a devotional book by Candace Cameron Bure.  100 Days of Joy and Strength.  I was struggling last night.  Darkness seemed to overwhelm me.  The last day of this devotional gave me exactly the encouragement I needed to go another day. Here are the verses she shared from God's Word. "I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope."  Psalm 130:5 "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;"  II Corinthians 4:8-9 "As for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.  Do not gloat over me, my enemy!  Though I have fallen, I will rise.  Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light."  Micah 7:7-8 "I remain confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."...
