Recipe: Devil's Food Pound Cake

Do you like chocolate cake? I love this recipe - it makes a super easy and moist chocolate cake.

Devil's Food Pound Cake

1 package Devil's Food cake mix

1 package (4 oz.) chocolate instant pudding mix

4 large eggs

1 1/4 cups water

1/2 cup vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan or tube pan.

Combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water, and oil in a large bowl.

Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour into pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 min. Cool in pan for 25 minutes. Invert onto heat heat-resistant serving plate. Cool completely.

For glaze, microwave 1/2 cup frosting for 10-15 seconds. Drizzle over the cake.

You May Abound In Hope

Today I completed a devotional book by Candace Cameron Bure. 100 Days of Joy and Strength. I was struggling last night. Darkness seemed to overwhelm me. The last day of this devotional gave me exactly the encouragement I needed to go another day. Here are the verses she shared from God's Word. "I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope."
