Daughter Dates and Wreath Ideas

Saturday, January 25

Alright, this cold weather can hit the road!

But I will take cuddle time with these two.

After Sierra went to work, Summer and I went out for a little date.  We went to Home Depot to just browse the plants and flowers.  I am itching to get some more!

While we were out, Eric was facetiming us from Washington, DC.

Then we went to Hobby Lobby.  Summer got some fabric and sewing supplies.  I just love Hobby Lobby and walking around!

The White House at night.

I found these two pictures and I loved them!  Now to decide where to hang them. :)

We also shopped Goodwill.  I did find these sandals. :)
After our shopping, we had dinner at Chick-Fil-A.  It was nice to spend some one-on-one time with her.

Sunday, January 26

Sunday morning, Summer and I sang on the Praise Team.  We had to be at practice at 8:10am.  Then Connection Groups and then church.  It was a powerful service and I couldn't hold the tears back.  I would love to have you watch our service here.

Since Eric was gone, it was a quiet afternoon. We had pot pies for lunch.  After the girls left for youth group, I got in my pajamas and there's my kitty being sweet again. :)

The house was so quiet - I actually turned on the football game.  I know.  I surprised myself.

Monday, January 27

On Monday, I did some work on school reimbursements.  I have let them pile up so I have quite a few to do.
Wish I could snooze like this girl.  Ha!

I went to a baby shower/ladies get together and they made these ribbons for wreaths.  This is for Valentine's Day.  You can take any ribbon and make them for any season or holiday and easily change it out without buying multiple wreaths. :)

I decided to make my grocery order at Wal-Mart and picked it up at 11am.  Some days you just don't like going shopping.

I made fish sandwiches and coleslaw for dinner.

Happy 45th Birthday, Eric!

Happy birthday to my husband, Eric!   He turns 45 today.  I am surprising him with tickets to a Miami Dolphins game in Miami.  I got him tickets one other time years ago when we lived in Reno.  We drove to Oakland to see the Dolphins play the Raiders.  I think this will be a great memory for him and a home game too! Happy birthday, babe!

Recipe: Chicken Parmesan

Chicken Parmesan This is a delicious recipe from Magnolia Table: Volume 2. 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts  1/4 tsp. kosher salt 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper 2 large eggs 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 sleeve (30-40) buttery crackers, crushed 4 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated (about 1 cup) 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice 1/2 cup mayo 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley (optional) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. (I cut the chicken breasts in half to make thinner.).  Season with salt and pepper. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and garlic salt until combined.  In another bowl, combine the crackers and 1/2 cup of the Parmesan. Dredgs each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then in the cracker mixture, and set the chicken aside on a plate. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of the oil over medium heat.  Add 2 pieces of the chicken and cook until the cracker coating is crispy and golden brown, 3 or 4 minutes on each side.  Remove to a sheet pan or b...
