Decluttering and Last Harvest

Sunday, November 9
My mom and dad visited my grandma's cousin, Wilma.  She is 100 years old!

So cute, I had to share!

The cats are always finding a new place to sit.

Burgers, Italian pasta salad and baked beans.

Last harvest of my tomatoes.

Little late in changing over my calendar.
Youth group at 5:30pm.

First snow in Ohio at my parents.

Nugget being an orange cat. LOL!

Just working around the house again.  I was putting away the dishes and was thinking how we have too many cups for our two cupboards.  If the "container" does not "contain" all what it should, then you need to declutter.  So I did.  I couldn't believe how many I got rid of!

Little projects add up!

This is ONE tomato plant I planted in the fall.  It has gotten huge.

Trying to protect it from frost.

Covering our fruit trees.

My two jalapeno plants from spring on.  They have produced TONS of jalapenos and have taken over into the yard!

My LAST harvest from these two plants.  HOLY MOLY.

Tuesday, November 11

Brr. We do get cold in Florida.

The cats' water bowl had ice.

Dinner - parmesan-crusted chicken, brussel sprouts and ravioli.

I took Summer to her riding lesson and when we got back, Jackson, the old man cat of our neighborhood sitting and watching.

Wednesday, November 12

We had another frost for which I didn't cover my plant and it's gone.  So I pulled these off.

Trying to make dinner and Bam insists on climbing my legs to see and be a part!

In the spirit of decluttering, I decided to finally get rid of this pot.  I have two others and that's all I need.  And it has only one handle!

At 6pm, we had choir practice and I did the welcome.  Gah, I do not like talking in front of groups!

Thursday, November 13

Today, I gave their flea/tick meds to Cappie and Nuggie.
I finally got a loaf of sourdough made again.

I'm really trying on getting my walking in to keep my health strong.

I love my sweet baby fosters.

Happy 45th Birthday, Eric!

Happy birthday to my husband, Eric!   He turns 45 today.  I am surprising him with tickets to a Miami Dolphins game in Miami.  I got him tickets one other time years ago when we lived in Reno.  We drove to Oakland to see the Dolphins play the Raiders.  I think this will be a great memory for him and a home game too! Happy birthday, babe!

Recipe: Chicken Parmesan

Chicken Parmesan This is a delicious recipe from Magnolia Table: Volume 2. 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts  1/4 tsp. kosher salt 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper 2 large eggs 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 sleeve (30-40) buttery crackers, crushed 4 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated (about 1 cup) 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice 1/2 cup mayo 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley (optional) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. (I cut the chicken breasts in half to make thinner.).  Season with salt and pepper. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and garlic salt until combined.  In another bowl, combine the crackers and 1/2 cup of the Parmesan. Dredgs each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then in the cracker mixture, and set the chicken aside on a plate. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of the oil over medium heat.  Add 2 pieces of the chicken and cook until the cracker coating is crispy and golden brown, 3 or 4 minutes on each side.  Remove to a sheet pan or b...
