Cool Ranch Crunch Wraps
I made these for our family and everyone enjoyed them! They are very simple. We will put it on our menu list to make again.
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 pkg taco seasoning
- 2/3 cup water
- 16 oz salsa con queso
- 1 southwest or avocado caesar salad kit
- 8 burrito size flour tortillas
- 9 oz cool ranch tortilla chips
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef until browned and crumbly. Add taco seasoning and 2/3 cup water. Continue cooking until mixture thickens.
- Working one at a time, spread 1 - 2 tablespoons salsa con queso in the center of each tortilla, making sure to leave about 3 inches around the edges to fold. Top with 2 - 3 tablespoons taco meat, then place a few tortilla chips on top of meat. Spread another 1 - 2 tablespoons queso on top of chips. Top with lettuce and a drizzle of dressing from the salad kit. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
- Cut 2 tortillas into quarters, and place 1 quarter on top of the lettuce.
- Fold the edges up and over the center. Continue to work your way around the tortilla, folding as tight as possible to form a hexagon.
- Heat a large skillet to medium heat, and coat with cooking spray. Place wrap seam - side down, and cook until the underside is golden brown, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook on the other side, about 1 - 2 minutes longer. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
Tip: The original recipe calls for a salad kit. It would be way more frugal to use regular romaine and a bottle of salad dressing of your choice. An avocado lime ranch would be good. You can purchase that pre-made or make your own dressing.
