Chariots and Marriage

I was watching a show on PBS about ancient chariots.  There were three people working together with their expertise trying to recreate the chariots that the Egyptians made for battle back in Bible times. They did fairly well at first but the problem lay in the harnesses for the horses pulling the chariot.  I was thinking how "in time" those horses must be in order to successfully pull that chariot - especially in the area of a battle. Boy, isn't that like marriage?  It can be tough working in a harness together.  I'm the brown horse; he's the black.  I mean everything is totally opposite for us - can it get any harder?  LOL!   Yet, it was crucial that those horses pull together.  It was life and death crucial.  If those horses didn't work together, the rider would most likely be dead in a very short time. Christmas Weekend 2016

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!  I hope you enjoy reading about our Christmas weekend here in Reno, NV! Saturday night, our church had a Christmas Candlelight Service.  Here are a few photos from that evening. Worshiping our Lord...go light your world! Poem by Pastor Joe. Silent Night...Autumn had a speaking part. We enjoyed the service very much - I think this is what Christmas is all about.  HIM. After the Candlelight Service, we invited our staff families over to our home for a time of food and fellowship.  I prepared some appetizers and desserts for everyone. Fresh fruit tray - pineapple, blueberries, cantaloupe and grapes.  Mmm!  So good after all the sweets of the season. Lil' smokies in the crockpot. I did a meat, cheese and cracker tray.
