Goodbye January!  

January can be a long month plodding along.  My January was a quiet but good month here in our life in Florida.  I am pleased with the progress that I personally made and I hope to have an even better month in February. 

Desks, Day 100 and Bleh Mexican Restaurants

January 23, 2024

This was Eric's only day off.  He still did office work at home and had to take some phone calls.  He was also on a podcast as well talking about crypto.  He's a very hard worker for his company.

Today was Day 100 for our school year!

He took the time to anchor Autumn's new bookcase.  She had built it but needed it anchored to the wall.

He also built a desk for Summer's room.

It has nice shelves and magnetic white board!

It's a nice addition to her room and is great for her age.

While they worked on that, I worked on a pile of submissions for reimbursement for the girls' school scholarship.

Sierra's desk that she built for her room.  Simple and perfect for her as well.

I love seeing my husband and girls together.

After a busy day, Eric and I went out for a date for our 25th dating anniversary which is January 23, 1999.  We went to a new Mexican place which turned out to be bleh! Boo!!

Love a good start to a new week!

Big step for Nugget - being downstairs with the dog present and not hiding.

School - Day 99

Eric was in town but gone all day finishing up the masterclass which was held Friday - Monday.

Last day of dog boarding with Phoenix.  She was picked up at 6pm.

Dinner - Fettuccine alfredo with chicken and broccoli.

Our First IKEA Visit

Cappie didn't care if Phoenix was close.  He wanted to sit with me. :)

Good for Cappie!

Brr!  I know other states have way colder temps.  But in the 20s is cold for us here in Florida!

I go outside to catch the sunrise every morning - it is one of the best parts of the day.

Someone really wants to go outside but it is not safe for her.

Very cold but pretty day!

Wondering why my headache was still there when I found my Excedrin migraine pill still sitting on the table.

After church, we went to IKEA.  We have never been to one and it was a fun experience!

We purchased a desk for Sierra and Summer and a bookcase.

We got ice cream treats at Culver's and headed home.

Autumn clearing out and rearranged her room.

Getting some work done with some helpers.

Daily Happenings with Phoenix

Boarding Phoenix - she's a sweetheart and a cuddle bug.

And I don't mind at all.  I have missed my lap buddy which was Belle.

She had coffee with me. :)
