Ohio Trip - Day 5

Saturday, April 20 - Day 5

Caught the sunrise.

A few more photos of the kitties.

Can you see the clipped left ear?  This is the universal sign that this is a feral/stray cat that has been spayed/neutered.
It is so important to help your community spay and neuter to control the cat population.  It is not difficult but so important!

I do love old white church buildings.  I love this shot - isn't it gorgeous?

Finishing up the house.  I love this photo of my Grandpa Holt and his brother, Bill along with the flag from my grandpa's funeral.

Washed the windows and put up new curtains.

We got a new bed frame and mattress for the bedroom downstairs.  Rachel assembled it.

I need to paint that window frame.  LOL

We replaced the old shower head with one that will be able to be taken down to be used when needed when my dad gets home.

We did cleaning that is difficult for my mom to do - took down the curtains to wash and rehang, cleaned the ceilings and corners, cleaned fans and light fixtures, replaced light bulbs, washed windows, moved furniture and cleaned under and behind, clean baseboards, dust, took down decorations and photo frames and dusted.

New shower head.

Put new letters on the house to aid in deliveries.

Room that we set up for my dad when he gets home from rehab.

My Aunt Connie stopped by to see us and say hello.  I just loved that!  She knew we were very busy on this trip but taking just a few minutes to stop by, give us a hug and say hello.  That meant a lot!  She also gave us a little cash to get a bite to eat.  We love you, Aunt Connie!  Thank you!

We had the photos set out for us to look at but we ran out of time and had to put them up in storage.

We even found the flagpole and replaced the flag and hung it.
We got Mom a new rolling garbage can for ease of use.

I didn't get flowers - just ran out of time.
Last visit with my Dad at the hospital.
Then we had a nice meal at Texas Roadhouse together.

Sunday, April 21, we left for home at 5am.  This was Summer saying goodbye to all the kitties.  She loves them very much.
We dropped Rachel back off at the airport on our way and then all the way back to Florida.
