The Love of Kids

I'm so thankful for my kids.  Sure, they make a big mess.  All the time!  LOL!  But they bring a joy into life that we as adults lost.  They see happiness in the little things...they don't know about problems.  And they love unconditionally.  Summer made cornbread muffins and she had this waiting for me one day when I got home from work.

She also had made out this checklist...
1.  Greet mom at the door.
2.  Get her lunch.
3.  Take her dirty dishes.
4.  Talk with her.
5.  Say goodbye.

So precious and I will hold this memory dear forever!

January 2019

Does anyone else feel this way?  January is definitely my least favorite month.  Cold.  Dark when you go in to work.  Dark when you leave work.  Cold.  I am definitely glad to see January end...February is a relatively short month and then on to March and spring and my birthday!  LOL!

I'm sure glad God made seasons!  I do enjoy watching the snow fall in winter.  The coziness of a cup of hot coffee and a blanket.  The Christmas season.  Giving the land a rest and then starting anew!

I hope you had a blessed January in 2019!

Idea Day Summit-Day 2

Here are some more photos of Idea Day Summit in Las Vegas.  This is Day 2 in their main auditorium.

Pastor Josh speaking in the morning.

The uniqueness about Idea Day it isn't just sitting and listening to someone speak.  It is also being able to share thoughts and ideas as well as ask questions on the subject the teacher/moderator is presenting.

Eric and I were asked to be a part of a panel on being bi-vocational in ministry.  This is us above.

The sessions were most of the day Tuesday, we had lunch with friends at Cracker Barrel and then flew back home.  It really was a great time of fellowship, teaching and sharing!

Idea Day Summit-Day 1

Monday, my husband and I took a "church business" trip to Vegas.  It was to attend Idea Day Summit at Southern Hills Baptist Church.

What nice weather in the 60's!  And palm trees!

Our hotel room was very nice!  And free with reward points!

FaceTime with the kiddos back home before the service.

Some pictures of the first night's service.  I didn't take these.  I saved them from FB.  LOL!

Pastor Josh Teis and his wife, Heather.  Lead pastor of Southern Hills.

Keynote speaker for the night - Thom Rainer.

The worship was such a blessing!  We enjoyed it so much!

A fabulous night of worship, speaking and being with God's people!
