Redwoods Vacation 2018 - Day 4

Omelets in a bag with hash browns for a hearty breakfast!

A pic of our campsite - under the giant redwoods!

Our first adventure was to find the albino redwood!

So you aren't confused, this is a redwood.  It is actually a shoot off the trunk of a redwood and this is how they look.  This one is albino so it looks like a Christmas tree.

Then we went to Loleta Cheese Factory.  Anytime you can have cheese - it's a good day!  We love this little spot in the country.  They make their own cheese and have a little shop as well as a little lunch spot with grilled cheese sandwiches and hot drinks.

In the back of the store, they have a beautiful garden area with a treasure hunt for the kids - so much fun and the flowers are beautiful!

Then off to the beach for the afternoon!  It was very windy - not good for enjoying the beach but good for flying kites. :)

Our Summer. :)

It was a nice afternoon at the ocean and then we headed back to our campsite.

Dinner - cheese smoked sausages with Italian pasta salad.

Sad. :(  Last night of camping!

Redwoods Vacation 2018 - Day 3

Third day of our Redwoods camping trip!  The sun finally making its way through the trees into our campsite.

My hubby made a delicious egg casserole in his Dutch oven for breakfast - unfortunately we forgot to take a picture until it was gone. LOL!

Then it was off for some hiking and to see some beautiful redwood groves.  This is a tree house made out of one redwood tree.

I'm just sayin' - I need one of these in my backyard!!

Autumn and Kylee - best friend cousins!

All the cousins!

Adam and his friend. :)

This is a fallen redwood that is actually big enough to drive on with a car.

The Shrine-Drive Thru tree.

The roots of these trees are MASSIVE!

The Tastet family 2018 in the Redwoods!

The Wolfe family 2018 in the Redwoods!

A cool cousins picture!

My niece, Kylee and my sister, Rachel.

Eating our picnic lunch.

This picture still cracks me up.  Addie is clapping her hands and saying "Peanut butter, jelly time!"  LOL!

Best buds - Jack and Summer.

Also buds - Evan and Sierra.

Chili in the Dutch oven for dinner.  Mmm!
