Goodbye March!

What a crazy month March has been in 2023!  Getting our house ready to put on the market, putting our rental on the market, trying to house hunt from across the country, flying to Florida, turning 46, and more!

Here's hoping for a smooth April and gorgeous spring weather!  Please keep our family in prayer as we sell our homes, buy a new home and pack to move.  It is our last full month in Oregon...wow!

April and May bring big changes!

Steps Forward!

Well, today is the day!  We signed the paperwork Sunday online and then the listing went live today.  Our Oregon house is on the market for sale.  It's now the pins and needles of waiting for showings...keeping things neat and clean at all times...praying it sells. :)

Also, good news!  The handyman is now able to get to the work on our Reno home today.

God's timing often doesn't match ours.  All in His timing.

Spring Has Sprung...Kind of!

Closer to spring.  Not always feeling that way though.

The blooms seem late this year and less.  We will see what happens as we get closer to April.

Almost ready for listing.  Yikes!

I had to watch this episode of Andy Griffith for the start of spring. :)

I have read this series before but I started it on audiobook and I really having enjoyed listening to it again.

At our small group, they gave Eric and I this sign as a gift.  LOL!  They said they thought of us.  Ha!

On Monday, the first day of spring, we went and got our free ice cream cone at Dairy Queen. :)

Monday is also my grocery shopping and chiropractor day.  I decided to use my free entree deal for my birthday from Chick-Fil-A and I was surprised to see you can get a salad with it!  Their salads are so good!!  It made my day!

A wee bit of sunshine and blue skies. :)

Any time we can sit outside and get a little sunshine and fresh air - even for school - makes all the difference.

My old dog, Max.

Sleepy boy, Jackson.

March 18-19

Saturday turned out to be a perfect spring day!  The kind that you could work all day and feel refreshed at the end of the day.  I love those kind of days.

I got my flowers planted.  Aren't they pretty?

I spent the morning weeding all my beds and mulch.  In. The. Sunshine.  Ahh!  It was wonderful.  Eric mowed and trimmed the lawn.

My daffodils have bloomed but not my tulips.

My sister came over and helped me straighten the carport for our photos and showings.  I'm so grateful she did!

After dinner, Rachel invited us over for a bonfire and s'mores.  The weather was so amazing and perfect to sit around the fire.  The whole day seemed to perk everyone up with happiness!

And then there's Sleepy Jack.

Sunday, five teens were baptized.  Praise God!

The rest of Sunday, I worked and worked to clean up and ready the house for our listing photos on Monday morning.  Rachel let the girls spend the night which helped to keep things clean.
What a week and weekend.  LONG.

March 15-17

Oh my Brownie.  Catching some rays by Figgie's grave.  Miss you so much, Figgie.  It seems like you have been gone so long.

Glad to have gotten first dibs on Ron DeSantis's new book.  I really enjoyed listening to it - his story and how he led Florida through the scamdemic.  I highly recommend.

Glad I spent $50+ on an orthopedic dog bed for him to lie on the floor.

I know.  He is kind of cute - I think so anyway.

Tuna noodle casserole.  I didn't care for it too much as a kid.  I have to say, this last time around, I really liked how I made it.  In fact, it reminds me to blog it or I will forget for the next time.  Ha!

Prepping a house to sell...reminds me why I don't care to move.  LOL!  Autumn has had up white lights in her room and warning...this is what they will do to your paint.  Who knew.

Then this is the problem when the previous owner painted OVER wallpaper.  Good grief.

We haven't seen the 60 degree mark since the beginning of November.  I honestly feel that is odd.  We have mild winters here in Oregon...minus this winter!

Free birthday drink from Dutch Bros.  TBH, it was so fake tasting.  I thought I would get a smoothie but you could tell it was just flavoring - not real.  I'm so over Dutch Bros.

Trying to finish up cleaning and painting before Friday when we had the carpets cleaned.

My husband and part of his new team at his new job.

First Friday in nearly the whole school year that we had some sunshine.  I'm telling you, it has been a long dreary winter.

This cat.  Ha!!!
