Work and More Work

Most nights, Jack sleeps on the end of our bed.

My first blooms this day.

Packing up more and more...each girl has their own bulletin board that they can hang their own notes, photos, etc.
This is Summer's board.

This is Sierra's board.

Just the girls' books - they probably have around 400?

Packing always creates more of a mess and it feels like it takes forever.

I'll help you, hooman.

Finally got the last book of this series. :)

So much rain causes a lot of weeds.

I just love this photo of Jack - he looks healthy in his weight and his coat looks so pretty and thick.  He has really come so far since last October when he adopted us. :)

Finished this audiobook - it is a solid testimony of one of the Duggar girls.

We got a lot of the room packed up.  Clearing it out to paint and clean the carpets.

Dentist appointment for me on Monday and for Sierra on Wednesday.  Almost wrapped up with our appointments before we move.

Rain, rain go away.

Decided to upgrade to a My Pillow. :)

With the darn time change, I decided to get a fruit smoothie Sunday morning - my free birthday drink from Human Bean.
Can we just do away with the time change?

You May Abound In Hope

Today I completed a devotional book by Candace Cameron Bure.  100 Days of Joy and Strength.  I was struggling last night.  Darkness seemed to overwhelm me.  The last day of this devotional gave me exactly the encouragement I needed to go another day. Here are the verses she shared from God's Word. "I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope."  Psalm 130:5 "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;"  II Corinthians 4:8-9 "As for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.  Do not gloat over me, my enemy!  Though I have fallen, I will rise.  Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light."  Micah 7:7-8 "I remain confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."...

Ten Tips for Sunday School Teachers

Ideas for Sunday School Teachers: 1.  Write a note to each student and mail it to their home. 2.  Visit the child in his home and bring a small treat. 3.  Make a special treat once a month for your students on Sunday. 4.  Have a Sunday School class activity on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. 5.  Pray for your students. 6.  Have a monthly or quarterly contest for your students.  Include bringing their Bible, saying memory verses, attendance, etc.  Award small prizes. 7.  Have a special craft once a month. 8.  Rev up your teaching time!  Use props such as costumes, pictures, videos.  Make your lesson time come alive.  Teach your lesson 2-3 times during the week out loud – you will be amazed at how you will be able to teach it to your students – not just following the words in the book. 9.  After the lesson, be creative!  Students should not just be sitting and waiting for Sunday School hour ...
