Smoky Mountain Camping Trip-Day 4

Added a third kid sleeping under the stars. :)

French toast and sausage links for breakfast.

We wanted to do a waterfall hike so we chose Laurel Falls.

From the hike, we drove to Clingman's Dome in NC.

Found the spot where the Appalachian Trail crosses.

Beautiful views from the top.

Anyone headed to Maine?

So, shortly after we got back to camp, this happens.

Thankfully, we could move our stuff to this pavilion so we could make dinner and stay dry.
A cup of hot cocoa never tasted so good watching the rain pour down!

Hubby cooked up a delicious crab boil!

Unfortunately, it rained so much and hard that it pooled on our tarp that was under our tent and then came up through the tent and got some stuff wet.  I decided to pack up most everything that night before I went to bed so that we wouldn't have to do it possibly in the rain in the morning.  Oh well.  That's life. :)
