Goodbye September!

Goodbye September!  You were a beautiful month and we will miss you. We had a busy month with school, soccer, horse riding lessons, and American Heritage Girls.   We also served in our church and participated in our church's revival meetings.   Autumn turned 19 years old and Summer turned 14.   Summer received assurance of her salvation and was baptized. I flew to Phoenix for a work event and visited my sister and her family. Looking forward to a new month!

Hurricane Expectations

Wednesday, September 25 Where did September go?  Wherever it went, it went quickly! Three months from today is Christmas!!  We have a hurricane making landfall tomorrow here in Florida.  Thankfully, it is landing between Jacksonville and Pensacola so our family is safe.  We will have rain and wind and the possibility of tornadoes.  The public schools and other places have already canceled for Thursday and Friday.  I hope my husband can fly out safely in the morning for his next work trip.  Even though it won't be a big event for us, I look forward to a rainy day, burning candles, and playing some ambient music.  I got a few treats to enjoy for fun as well. I ordered new Papermate Flair pens for my 2025 planner and they arrive today!  Maybe I will work on my new planner on our hurricane day. :)

The Cruze Is Done!

Tuesday, September 24 Happy birthday to our second-born daughter, Autumn!  She turns 19 today.  I will miss celebrating with her but I hope she has a great day.  Addie and Kylee had a little party for her Sunday afternoon and here are a few photos from that. :) I had an appointment for Jackson at 10am today at the vet.  His one ear has been bothering him so I wanted to take him in to get some drops to clear up the infection. I got a few things at Wal-Mart to make stuffed pumpkins this week! I dropped off Jackson at home and then left again to get my hair cut at Great Clips. My sourdough starter. Always holding those cats. I then got a text that the Cruze was done.  We had it towed to a body repair shop to have it fixed after my husband had an accident.  It looks great and you can't tell it had been in an accident.  When I hit our neighborhood, the light came on that the AC kicked off because it was overheated.  The first thing I checked was the co...

Freshening Up My Porch for Fall

Monday, September 23 What a day!  I had scheduled an appointment to have a new key/fob made for our Volvo.  I showed up at the place at 9:15am.  The gentleman couldn't find my name or number in his system.  After ten minutes of trying to find me and put me in the system, he realized that I had gone to O'Steen Volkswagon instead of O'Steen Volvo.  Sigh. So I get to the dealership late.  Then they didn't have both parts of the key to do it for my vehicle.  No one ordered it.  Another sigh.  So they ordered it with me standing there (wow).  And said they would call me when it comes in.  So I will have to make another trip there.  Groan. After the dealership, I stopped at CVS.  They had their Scott's TP on sale for $8.99 and I had $16 in ECB to use so it worked out perfect.  Then I went to Wal-Mart and did my grocery shopping for the week.  I stopped at the library to pick up a hold but it wasn't open yet.  Then...
