New Years Eve 2021

Happy New Year's Eve!  2021 is coming to a close.

Christmas Day 2021 Happenings

Autumn got a record player for Christmas and I found this record at the Goodwill.  What is special about it is my dad played this Christmas tape every year as long as I can remember.  So to hear it play in our home this Christmas was very special for me.  And especially fun on a record! Ready for Christmas dinner at our home. Rachel and I made quite the spread. Ham, mashed potatoes and noodle gravy, green beans, cheddar biscuits, stuffed mushrooms, sausage balls, cheese & olive tray, jalapeno-lime jelly with cream cheese dip, 7 layer salad, deviled eggs, pickle rolls, cheeseball and crackers, sweet potato casserole and shrimp cocktail. Jack-10, Sierra-14, Evan-15 and Addie-18. Me, Kylee-15, Autumn-16 and Summer-11. Max.  Fig hid away the whole time in the bedrooms.  I don't think she liked all the noise. Opening gifts. Some of the gifts I got from the Wolfe family - missing is a set of earrings and a large cranberry candle from Kylee. :) We ended our day wit...

Christmas Eve 2021

One of my favorite Christmas movies!   Good, hearty soup for a winter night. Made some white chocolate covered pretzels and white chocolate mint Oreos. We went to our Christmas Eve service at 5pm at our church.  We then drove by some pretty Christmas lights. Ending Christmas Eve with my favorite Christmas movie.  It's A Wonderful Life. Ready for Santa. :)

Dad's One Year - Homegoing to Heaven

Today marks one year since my father-in-law went to Heaven.  Looking at a photo like this sure brings back memories.  Brings tears to my eyes as I remember. We miss you a lot, Pops.

Christmas Cookie Baking & Decorating Day 2021

Rachel hosted a cookie baking/decorating party for the cousins! Here are some of the photos I took.   Rachel already had the dough mixed up and chilled.  The kids got to cut out the cookies and we baked them.  While they cooled, they watched The Grinch and had pizza rolls for lunch. Then they got to frosting and decorate them. They were pretty creative with their decorating! Evan's is above. Autumn's is above. Summer's cookies above. Kylee's is above. Sierra's is above. They were all doing a super hero character. Summer made a stocking for Fig and Max. :)
