My sister, Rachel, shared this tip with me a couple years ago and I thought I would share it with you. This is a great money saving tip!
I always like to keep lettuce around to make a salad for lunch or to put on a sandwich but it always seemed to go bad before I could eat it all. (I have heard that the metals in a knife blade will react with the lettuce and cause oxidation so tear your lettuce by hand.)
Ok, all that for this simple tip! Here it is. Put a paper towel in with your lettuce. It will absorb all the moisture from the lettuce and keep it fresher longer!
