Goodbye March!

Goodbye March!  It has been quite the whirlwind for us. My mom visited for the first time since we moved to Florida. We made a weekend trip to Pensacola to visit Addie and Brad. I worked an Aspire event in Los Angeles. Sierra and Summer attended a Disciple Now Weekend at First Baptist Church of Orange Park. We joined the choir at Westside Baptist Church. Lots of dentist and eye doctor appointments. I went to my first concert - The Beach Boys - with my daughter. My daughter and her boyfriend came home for Easter break from college. And my favorite - Easter Sunday! I thought I would update on my yearly goals. I totally blew my gym and walk a day goals.   I got new glasses - check! We purchased a third vehicle with cash - check! Autumn applied to attend PCC, she took the CLT exam as well as the PCC placement exams - check! I read Pride and Prejudice for Feburary and am finishing Little Women for March - check! I hope your March was prosperous and fulfilling!

He Is Risen!

H He is risen!  One of my favorite days of the year.  It is absolutely the pinnacle of the Christian's year.  I am so grateful to have accepted the gift of salvation through the death of our Savior and the hope that came through His resurrection! I can't wait to be in church today!  I pray you will be worshipping with your church family today as well.  If you would like to watch our church service, here is the link .  I will be in the choir and it is going to be amazing!

My 47th Birthday

My 47th birthday. March 14, 2024 Summer made me a delicious omelet and avocado toast for breakfast.  It was nice to come back after taking Mom to the airport. She left me a menu. :) She also stayed up late making homemade chocolate chip cookies. The morning was supposed to be sunny so I decided to make it a low-key pool day for me to enjoy my birthday. I did some catch up like emails, my planner, thank you cards, etc. It was perfect.  Sunshine, reading a good classic - Little Women, enjoying a free peach tea from Starbucks. Sierra came down and did her homework with me. A very nice birthday. :)

Extra Pool Day with Nana

Wednesday, March 13 Mom was supposed to fly out today.  After I got her to the airport and got back home, they delayed her first flight significantly.  That made it that she would miss her second flight.  So they rescheduled her flights.  However, they had her staying overnight in Chicago!  So I was able to call and get her a different flight for the next day.  I then went back to the airport and picked her up.  We were able to make it another pool day which I think she enjoyed. It was a laid back day ending with choir practice for me and Summer.

Picnic and Memory with Nana

Monday, March 12 A chilly start to this Monday! Jackson was being cuddly and actually came to take a nap on my lap. :) He actually made a few biscuits too which he just doesn't do!  Sweet boy! Wearing my new 50th-anniversary PCC shirt. :) I look down from my bedroom window and see the kitties in their chairs enjoying the sunshine. :) And I love to see my rescue kitty totally relaxed and enjoying a good nap! Our new memory game arrived!  It is so cool with all the national parks on the memory cards - it is beautiful! Nana and the girls made a nice picnic lunch for my birthday.  We went down to our little community park, enjoyed the sunshine, ate, and played Memory. Summer's mouth was numb from a dentist appt. so that's why she is smiling weirdly.  LOL! Oh Jackson, you are so funny!

Sunday at PCC

Sunday, March 10 Our second day of our visit to Pensacola Christian College.  We attended Addie's Sunday School class with her. My beautiful girls. Summer, Autumn, Nana, Addie, Sierra, and Brad I took everyone to Steak N Shake for lunch and then we had to head home. I'm so glad that we could take Mom on this visit!
