One Decade Without You

Just thinking about my Grandma Holt who passed away ten years ago yesterday. Sometimes when I walk, I like to reminisce on those memories.
Her jar of sun tea on the step.

Her love of board and card games.

She read her Bible every night in bed.
She put every card, letter and picture we gave her onto her big board by the front door.

Taking bike rides down to the cemetery.

Getting us an ice cream cone with Krunch Kote at Double D.

Her house was spic and span-neat as a pin.

She was from the Depression era and saved and used everything.

She could sew pretty much anything and made our doll and Barbie clothes.

Decorating the Christmas tree and our cousin sleepovers on Thanksgiving night.

Her jars of peaches and plums she canned every summer.

Her garden and her fresh rhubarb and sweet corn (roastin’ ears).

Kittens in the barn.

Her faithfulness to her little country church.

So memories I could go on and on.
I love you and miss you Grandma.
