Update on Smokey from Wednesday. I was able to get him into a vet appointment at Banfield Pet Clinic. He is a sick little guy. He has feline herpes which is why he has been sneezing often and has the discharge from his nose and eyes. Also the redness of his eyes.
He also has a high fever and has pneumonia in his lungs which is the wheezy breathing we could hear.
He is also dehydrated and underweight - less than 2 1/2 lbs.
He is now on antibiotics and pain meds to clear up the infection, bring down the fever and for pain that he is having. We have prescription eye drops for his eyes.
He had the abscess on his cheek that the vet lanced and drained and put on a cream.
We pray he is on the mend soon!
