Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens

My posts are all mixed up.  But I hope to get caught up soon.  Ha!
On Thursday, July 13, the girls and I checked out the Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens.

Sometimes my phone camera gets cloudy - maybe the humidity?  I have to remember to wipe off the lens.

Big, beautiful live oaks.

Some of the flowers in the garden.

We walked all the trails available.  They are all fairly short.
Aralia Trail, Cascade Loop, Sugarberry Trail
Jones Creek Trail, Bluff Loop, Upper Ravine Trail, Lower Ravine Trail
Lake Loop Trail, Live Oak Trail, Turkey Oak Loop
Sand Ridge Trail, Deer Moss Trail, Rosemary Loop, Pine Scrub Loop

Called "the hidden jewel" in Northeast Florida, the Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens opened in November 2008 - covering 120 acres and featuring 13 distinct ecosystems.

Very likely an alligator lurking in there.  But we didn't see one.  LOL!  Plenty of warning signs though.

The water is orange/red due to high amounts of iron.

Pretty reflection in the water.

Mr. Turtle in the water.
