Goodbye April!

Here we are at the end of April!  Our first April in Florida.  And I loved it!  Even in the last week of April, it is still in the 50's, dreary and rainy in Oregon.  I am so happy to be soaking up the sunshine and warm temperatures here in Florida this April! April was a busy month.  One of the biggest events was going to Ohio to help my mom and dad after my dad had a stroke.  I am grateful it worked out for me to do so.   A few more 2024 goals that were completed: I got new glasses and contacts.  I had my prescription updated to progressives and that has helped a lot. I visited my parents one time in Ohio so far for this year. Preparation for college with Autumn is well underway!  CLT exam and entrance exams done, forms submitted, fees paid and more. We attended College Days at PCC. I purchased my garden beds and am setting up my garden this week. We got furniture and decorated my bedroom. I joined a couples small group at church...

Loose Lizard in our House! :)

Spring days here at the Tastet house.   We did not have eclipse glasses so Summer made a homemade viewer to "see" the partial eclipse.   As the days get warmer, the cats spend a lot of time in the backyard.  Nugget has become the little hunter. :)  We have to watch her so she doesn't bring presents into the house!  Like live lizards! It just makes me laugh!  Silly cat and I just love her! While Nugget is hunting, Jackson is snoozing.  The King of a Nap! My tomato plants until I get my raised garden beds set up. I'm loving my front porch this spring. :) So much floof! Getting my workout in - always love the view! I mean, these are the presents my cat leaves.  LOL!  She is something else. I love it when she sleeps like this. Then there is the fun when a lizard is brought into the house and we can't find it until...

Have you ever seen an armadillo?

Random April photos of my cats. I mean, this is what you call a GOOD nap. We are trying hard to get rid of all that clover!  Ugh! And then there is this.  An armadillo! Not what you want in your yard!  They cause a lot of damage to your grass, plants, etc. My Nugget.  Waiting on me like Max used to do.  I just love her!

College Days 2024 PCC-Day Three

College Days Day Three .   Breakfast with Addie and Brad at Varsity. After breakfast, we attended one of Addie's Bible classes at 8am - Life of Christ . At 9am, Sierra and Autumn attended College at a Glance (benefits of choosing a Christian college and the application process).  The parents attended Parent Q&A with College Leaders . Sierra applying to PCC! At 10:05am, we all attended chapel . At 11am, we attended Set To Soar .  This is where they received College Days rewards and PCC gear. Then we ate a quick lunch at Four Winds. Can you spot Addie? :) This is one of her history classes that we attended at 12pm - Europe in the 19th Century . I really enjoyed this class and this teacher!  He engages the students and challenges them to think and philosophize and not just answer questions. My beautiful girls - Sierra-16 and Autumn-18. This was the Future Eagle Reception at 12:45pm - a special welcome gathering for those who have applied to PCC. The last cla...
