Last Friday, the girls and I did our tradition of going out for McDonald's at the end of our school year. The dining room at McDonald's is not open yet. REALLY. Anyways. So we had to get our food to go and eat outside at a park.
We have done this little tradition for years. It's just a very simple thing that we do. You know, memorable traditions don't have to cost a lot or anything. It's the fun of doing it. We didn't have a lot of money back then and honestly, we don't make a lot of money now. It's about the time spent with these girls that mean the most.
This is one of those times - several years ago!
I wrote this on my Facebook page and wanted to share. Yes, it was a feeling of a little sadness with accomplishment. My heart was a little tender as we sat there sharing that "last moment". Kids sure do grow up quick. The days are long, the years are short.
Celebrating 14 years of school completed. Our first baby is graduating. It's done.
