I mention using Cajun seasoning a lot in my recipes. :) One reason is it adds so much flavor...and second, my husband's dad is a Cajun from the swamps of Louisiana...so Cajun food is a must for our family!
I found this recipe around 17 years ago and have been making it ever since. It makes a large amount and will last for a long time. :)
You can use it on anything from chicken, fish to burgers...even on baked potatoes or give a kick to pasta.
It is my most used seasoning!
Homemade Cajun Seasoning
1 container salt (26 oz.)
2 containers cayenne pepper (1 oz. each)
1/3 cup black pepper
1/3 cup chili powder
3 tbsp. garlic powder
Mix together and store in an airtight container.
