Here is today's podcast in blog post form. :)

It never fails.  You try to grow something in good soil from actually store bought seeds...and it barely comes up and seems to poke along.

And then you look over to your compost bin...and there among the decomposing material...you find healthy, vibrant plants coming up!

It never ceases to amaze me.

I love the analogy it brings too.  I think of my husband and his childhood.  He did not come from a Christian home.  Sex, drugs, alcohol, pornography, gang involvement, foul language were all a part of his normal, everyday life.  When he was 12, he was invited to a teen activity at a Baptist church in Reno by one of his public school friends.  That was the seed thrown into the decomposing compost pile of my husband's life.

He was then saved at a Wednesday night service at this church and begin to bloom.  His life became a beautiful plant.  Yes, his home life did not change.  He still lived in the compost bin.  That didn't hinder his growth as a Christian.

So where are you at today?  Do you have a home life that is less than desirable?  Are you in a marriage union with an unsaved spouse?  Maybe you have created your own compost bin of your life!  You have made poor choices in relationships, with your finances, in rearing your children, in your marriage, in serving the Lord.

Guess what?  You can still become a thriving Christian amongst the decomposition!  It may take awhile to get yourself out of that bin into a healthy environment.  My husband lived in it from 12-17 until he went to Bible college and was on his own.  Keep striving!  Make wise decisions with the guidance of God's Word and one day, God will transplant you into the wonderful garden of God.

So today's challenge is:  Bloom in the environment and place where God has put you.
