Recipe: Pizza Mac Casserole

Here is a great kid-friendly recipe that you can enjoy this summer!
Get the kids involved with chopping the onion and green pepper...browning the meat...mixing the ingredients...sprinkling the cheese.
Feel free to change the ingredients to make it your own.  Sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms...whatever your family likes!

Pizza Mac Casserole

1 box rotelle pasta - 1 lb.
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
2 jars pizza sauce - 14 oz. each
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese - 8 oz.

Cook the pasta al dente.  Brown the ground beef, drain. Combine pasta, beef, onion, peppers and pizza sauce.
Pour into a greased baking dish.  Sprinkle with the cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees - just until the cheese is melted.

*I buy ground beef in bulk...we fry it up and divide it into one pound increments.  Then dinner can literally be put together in a flash!*
