A Lesson from a Coyote

A funny thing happened this week.  I was taking the girls to Vacation Bible School and as we were driving, there was a coyote trotting the opposite direction on the side of the road.  He didn't seem concerned about the cars passing by him.  He was set on where he was going it seemed.  He looked like he had a plan and was heading to make it happen.  Cars kept passing, he kept going, never looking once at them.

He reminded me of a verse I read this week in my devotions.  "Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the Lord God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the Lord."  I Chronicles 22:19

Discouragement will come in different forms for different things.  I encourage you today to not let whatever is discouraging YOU to let it sidetrack you.
Get a picture of a coyote trotting along the road in your mind.
Don't let the passerbys of life get you to turn your head to look at them.  Set your heart and soul to seek God - arise and build!  God has a purpose for your life.
Set, arise and build!
