I so enjoyed viewing Jupiter and Venus come nearly together replaying the Star of Bethlehem last night. I woke up our two older girls to come look and we talked about the story of the wise men...how they didn't have GPS ;) or even good maps and roads to follow. They depended on the sky. And how God led them to Jesus through a star.
Last night was cloudy and you could not see any other star in the sky - yet you could see Jupiter and Venus.
It truly put it into perspective...
1. How mighty our God is! He truly has the "whole world in his hands"!
2. How the Bible is just not a book of stories or fairy tales. It is real and living!
3. How if God can orchestrate a star to be in the place and time to lead a small group of men...how much more will He do with our lives if we decide to follow His star of leading in our lives every day.
Every time I read the account of the star that led the wise men, I think it will be a little more real and awe-inspiring to me.
