School Year 2020-21

The summer of 2020 was pretty much just the worst summer of our lives.  In addition to our life change, very little was actually open to just enjoy in the area.  No swimming pools, zoos, museums, nothing.  That's why I did a lot of exploring in the Metroparks but other than that, there was not many enjoyable memories.

Due to our upcoming move, we decided to start our school year in July - just to get a head start since we would have to take some time off for that.  Yeah.  There went the last half of the summer.

Pictures of the first day of school.

Our Addie is a senior in high school this year.  We have home schooled from K-5 to now, her senior year of high school.
School year 2020-21.  Wow.

This picture makes me chuckle.  It is Summer running down the street to ask me an arithmetic question while I'm out walking the dog.

Working out on the deck makes school better.

Big baby!!

When you get these four together, not much school happens. LOL!

Last day of July.  Life.

I do love rainy summer days.

You May Abound In Hope

Today I completed a devotional book by Candace Cameron Bure.  100 Days of Joy and Strength.  I was struggling last night.  Darkness seemed to overwhelm me.  The last day of this devotional gave me exactly the encouragement I needed to go another day. Here are the verses she shared from God's Word. "I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope."  Psalm 130:5 "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;"  II Corinthians 4:8-9 "As for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.  Do not gloat over me, my enemy!  Though I have fallen, I will rise.  Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light."  Micah 7:7-8 "I remain confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."...
