Goodbye February!

Happy last day of February and Leap Year Day!  Today is February 29, 2024. What a month!  Again, truly enjoyed the winter Florida weather this month.  God has been good to me and I am so grateful. Goodbye February!

Rainy February Sunday

Sunday, February 18 Happy Sunday!  This is a book that we got on the bargain rack.  It is Love Comes Softly by Janette Oke.  It is a special edition and is signed by her.  Special.  I got it for Summer to thank her for helping me dog-sit. Mr. Oliver and Summer.   Finished this audiobook - Once Upon a Wardrobe by Patti Callahan.  Very interesting audiobook to listen to on CS Lewis. Church - Shindler Drive Baptist Church. After church, we got subs at Subway for our lunch. It was another rainy day!  Which is nice sometimes for a Sunday inside. Rain is adding up. I just love these Easter egg garlands I got with the pretty speckled eggs. :) Another weekend is over.  Have my muffin up with me. :)

Books-A-Million, Steak & Shake and Pollyanna

Saturday, February 17 Eric is in California today.   We still have Oliver and Miss Whitney today. I watched Fox and Friends Saturday and they showed Jacksonville twice! All the doggies and kitties were hanging with me. Whitney is a cuddlebug.  Good lap dog. I decided to try a different flavor of creamer since they were out of hazelnut.  This was really good! Ahh, do some cleaning and organizing.  Still have a few things to finish but at least you can see my floor now.  Ha! Sierra had to work 2-8pm.  Autumn and I went on a date.  We went to Books-A-Million and went book shopping.  We found some good deals on the bargain rack!  Then we went and had a meal at Steak and Shake. :) Then I spent time with my girls and we watched Pollyanna - one of the old Disney classics. :) We had fun seeing characters that have been on The Andy Griffith Show. A nice Saturday with my girls. :)

Recipe: Tuna Noodle Casserole

Tuna Noodle Casserole Here is a simple tuna noodle casserole that I enjoy and make in our family. 12 oz. egg noodles 1 can peas, drained 1 can tuna, drained 1 package of fresh mushrooms 1 can cream of mushroom soup salt and pepper 1 sleeve of saltines, crushed melted butter Boil noodles until al dente. Drain.   Saute mushrooms in a little butter. Add soup, tuna, and a splash of milk to the drained noodles.  Mix well.  Add in mushrooms and peas.  Put the mixture in a greased baking dish.  Crush saltines and mix with melted butter.  Spread on top and bake until the mixture is heated and topping is toasted.

Miss Whitney Joins Us

Friday, February 16 Day 118 We have a busy weekend.  Today and tomorrow, I will be busy boarding two dogs with Rover. This is Whitney, a senior dog almost 12 years old.  She is staying with us today and tomorrow. In the morning, I did my gym workout and went to the chiropractor and Wal-Mart. At 1pm, I had an Aspire Zoom meeting. Eric is in San Jose this weekend. Can't believe the price of eggs and how it is going up again. Gas had gone up as well.  I decided to get it at Circle K and it gave me $.25 off a gallon! Nuggie checks out the visitors from her safe place. Nuggie, Cappie Jack, and Oliver. I mowed the lawn and did some trimming.  The clover is taking over so we are getting lawn treatment for this year. Summer made tuna noodle casserole for our dinner.
