Baking at Christmas time is always a favorite activity of mine. Here is a recipe to make to enjoy or give away this Christmas season.
Oreo Truffles
Ingredients
- 36 Oreo cookies, finely crushed
- 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz pkg semi-sweet baking chocolate, broken into pieces
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and cookie crumbs with a mixer until well blended.
- Shape into 48 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Freeze at least 20 minutes.
- Place chocolate in a microwaveable bowl. Cook on high for 3 ½ minutes or until melted; stirring after every 45 seconds.
- Using two forks, dip frozen balls into melted chocolate and replace them on lined cookie sheets. Refrigerate until firm.
- Store in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator.
